Little vintage cake stand or jewellery holder

I've been saving these vintage small plates for long time, I didn't have the courage to pierce them because of their preciousness, but finally I decided to do it and these delicious little cakestands were born:

- First photo Ginori

- Second photo Limoges

- Third, fourth and fifth photo Limoges, Porcelaine de Saxe, Paragon Radstok (this last one, the largest plate, is signed "by Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen", that is the Royal Warrant, an honour conferred by the British Royal Family to an Institution or a commercial activity. The significance of this honour is that, with this seal, it is established that the business has performed, or is still performing, services for the British Crown. This symbol gives a lot of prestige to the business).

I would define them more as jewellery older than cakestands

E' un pò di tempo che conservavo questi piattini vintage non avevo il coraggio di forarli data la loro preziosità, ma alla fine mi sono decisa e sono nate queste deliziose alzatine mignon:

- Terza, quarta e quinta foto Limoges, Porcelaine de Saxe, Paragon Radstok (quest'ultimo, il piattino più grande, è firmato "by Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen" cioè la garanzia reale o Royal Warrant, un'onorificenza conferita dalla Famiglia Reale Britannica a un Ente o un'attività commerciale. Il significato di questa onorificenza sta nel fatto che, con tale sigillo, si accerta che l'attività commerciale ha svolto, o svolge tuttora, servizi per la Corona Inglese. Questo simbolo dona molto prestigio all'attività).

Più che alzatine, io le definirei dei Portagioie.

 I want to catch all the reflections of the sun...

The most beautiful effect is when they are hung from the inside of a window. When the sun arrives there throughout the year, all the reflections will be projected onto the wall and from there all over the room... My cats go crazy chasing them...🥰

I used vintage belt studs and brass decorations, chains, vintage crystals, glass paste and wire. The little flowers are made by braiding the wire and brushed with pastel nail polish to create the petal effect.

Voglio acchiappare tutti i riflessi del sole...

L'effetto più bello lo si ha se vengono appesi, dall'interno, ad una finestra. Quando durante tutto l'anno il sole arriva in quel punto, tutti i riflessi saranno proiettati sul muro e da li in tutta la stanza... I miei gatti impazziscono a rincorrerli...🥰

Ho utilizzato delle borchie vintage di cinture e decorazioni in ottone, catenelle, cristalli vintage, paste di vetro e fil di ferro. I fiorellini sono realizzati intrecciando il fil di ferro e spennellati con smalti per le unghie color pastello per creare l'effetto petalo.

Cake stand with metal candle holder and a tin box

Me and my mania for recycling everything I find. For this cake stand I used a metal candle holder and a tin box, one of those that used to contain those delicious English biscuits so "buttery" that you get fat just naming them. I painted everything milk-white and with the image transfer I made the writing in stencil characters for a vintage touch.

Io e la mia mania di riciclare tutto quello che trovo. Per questa alzatina ho utilizzato un porta-candela di metallo ed una scatola di latta di quelle che contenevano quei buonissimi biscotti inglesi tanto "burrosi" che ti ingrassi solo a nominarli. Ho dipinto tutto bianco latte e con il trasferimento d'immagine ho realizzato la scritta a caratteri stencil per un tocco vintage.
